Amelia's Teas & Holly located at 26 South Main Street in historic Mullica Hill, is housed in a delightful home built in 1844 with plenty of free parking in the back.
The building houses an adorable Christmas shop and elegant Victorian tearoom with an adjoining gift shop. The Christmas shop is full of collectables such as Byers' Choice figurines and Jim Shore Heartwood Creek items. Visitors will also find an assortment of wreaths, garlands and other items for holiday decorating.
Accompanying the tea room is a gift shop with beautiful teapots, tea sets, children's tea party baskets, and teas, as well as other appealing gift items such as Victorian hats and tea time CD's.
Amelia's Teas & Holly is owned by sisters Bonnie Burton and Sue Kruger, both of Mullica Hill. "Our grandmother, Amelia, lived in Evansville, Indiana," said Kruger. "She was an old fashioned woman who worked hard, loved people and enjoyed her tea."
"One of our fondest memories is of the old dining hutch in her home. It was filled with her favorite tea cups," added Burton. "Our store's name is in memory of her."
Amelia's is open Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. For reservations or more information, please call (856) 223-0404.
Living in the DC area, I have been to some of the nicest tea rooms our country has to offer, however none of these establishments come close to offering the ambiance, exceptional service, menu options and atmosphere at Amelia's Teas and Holly Teahouse! I joined my mother and toddler daughter for lunch there this week. My white peony hot tea and my mother's iced tea were both served in gorgeous tea kettles, the classical music playing and delicious sandwiches and sweets made it an afternoon we won't soon forget! My toddler even had a wonderful time - they were so accommodating! The atmosphere was charming and extremely relaxing. I felt like I could just take a deep breath - and being a mother that doesn't happen too often while eating out. I didn't want the afternoon to end. We look forward to having lunch at Amelia's Teas and Holly Teahouse every time I am back in the area! Thank you ladies for a very special afternoon.

I had such a wonderful time last week. So beautiful the room is and so relaxing. Warm tea on a cool day is perfect with good food home cooking and delectable desserts. It is truly a haven and a great place to de-stress from your daily routine. This is 'me' time. Had a great time. Everyone must experience this pleasure. Thanks to the Staff for knowing and caring for women.

I have visited this tea room on several occasions and have to say it is absolutely THE BEST! In fact, my daughter and I hold Amelias as the standard set for any other tea rooms we visit, and we have yet to find any as wonderful as Amelias (even in New York city!) The food is always fresh and homemade, and so delicious. The presentation of the food is always beautiful. Best of all is the tea selection which is quite extensive. We love trying the different tea of the month, and can bring home our favorite loose tea. The staff is very friendly and we find ourselves feeling as though we are at a friends house for afternoon tea. Just delightful!
My family and I just loved the tea house. It was quaint and the tea selection was astounding as well as outstanding. We all sampled each others tea as there was so much to go around. The tea sandwiches and dessert was delicious. We were fortunate enough to have been there during the Christmas season to hear the beautiful live harp in the background. We highly recommend Amelias and will definitely return.
