Amelia's Teas & Holly located at 26 South Main Street in historic Mullica Hill, is housed in a delightful home built in 1844 with plenty of free parking in the back.
The building houses an adorable Christmas shop and elegant Victorian tearoom with an adjoining gift shop. The Christmas shop is full of collectables such as Thomas Kinkade ornaments, Byers' Choice figurines and Jim Shore Heartwood Creek items. Visitors will also find an assortment of wreaths, garlands and other items for holiday decorating.
Accompanying the tea room is a gift shop with beautiful teapots, tea sets, children's tea party baskets, scone mixes, and teas, as well as other appealing gift items such as soy candles, Victorian hats, tea time CD's, and flower arrangements.
Amelia's Teas & Holly is owned by sisters Bonnie Burton and Sue Kruger, both of Mullica Hill. "Our grandmother, Amelia, lived in Evansville, Indiana," said Kruger. "She was an old fashioned woman who worked hard, loved people and enjoyed her tea."
"One of our fondest memories is of the old dining hutch in her home. It was filled with her favorite tea cups," added Burton. "Our store's name is in memory of her."
Amelia's is open Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. For reservations or more information, please call (856) 223-0404.
